Abbottabad International Medical College, Abbottabad

Abbottabad International Medical College is located on Main Mansehra Road, Abbottabad. It is affiliated with Khyber Medical University, Peshawar, the only Public Sector Medical University in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

Abbottabad International Medical College (AIMC) is started in 2008 and is recognized by then Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) now PMC for 50 MBBS Seats. Which later on increased to 100 MBBS Seats. AIMC is attached to its own hospital Abbottabad International Medical Complex for Clinical classes.

How to get Admission in AIMC Abbottabad

Since its inauguration, Abbottabad International Medical College were admitting students as per Pakistan Medical & Dental Council policy, but in 2018 Centralized Admissions were started through out Pakistan.

Admitting University for each Province was selected and all medical admissions were done under that University for its province. Khyber Medical University, Peshawar being the only Medical University in Province was given the responsibility of Centralize Admissions for Medical Session 2018-19 and onward. Which lasted for 2 years.

Later in 2020, Pakistan Medical Commission decentralized the admission process and asked every college to do admission by their own, under the Admission Policy of PMC. Form were received by PMC from students and handed over to colleges for further admission process.

So in 2020 every university has done its admission on its own, using the merit list provided by PMC.

For Session 2021-22, after MDCAT (Medical & Dental Colleges Admission Test) 2021 by PMC, every student will apply to PMC for admission in any Private Medical Colleges in Pakistan, and the list will handed over to every college for further process.

Eligibility Criteria For Admission in Abbottabad International Medical College

Eligibility Criteria for Admission in any Medical College throughout Pakistan is almost same. It depends on Admission Policy to be published by PMC for Session 2021-22.

• 65% Marks in FSc/A-Levels/or Equivalent Degree
• 60% Marks in MDCAT (Medical & Dental Colleges Admission Test) of current year
• Pakistani/Dual National for Admission on Open Merit Seats
• Applied through PMC Portal (May change for 2021-22 Session depends on Admission Policy for 2021)
