There are total 9 medical colleges in Islamabad. Most of them are private medical colleges. Islamabad the capital of Pakistan, is home to around 20 Universities including Medical Universities, Engineering Universities, and General Universities. Islamabad is considered the safest city of Pakistan.
In 2018 and 2019 admission were centralized, so admissions of both public and private medical colleges in Islamabad were done by admitting university, but last year Pakistan Medical Commission decentralized admissions in Private Medical Colleges throughout Pakistan, and every medical college were allowed to do admissions by their own, from the merit list provided by PMC.

1. Federal Medical And Dental College
Federal Medical and Dental College is constituent institute of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad. FMDC started working in 2011 after recognition by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council for 50 MBBS seats initially, which later increased to 100 MBBS Seats.
FMDC admits students based on quota seats from all over Pakistan. FMDC recently started admissions in BDS as well. The affiliated hospital for FMDC is Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences – PIMS. FMDC is considered among the best Medical Colleges in Islamabad.

2. Al Nafees Medical College
Al Nafees Medical College is constituent college of Isra University. It is Private Sector Medical College, located in Islamabad, recognized by Pakistan Medical Commission. Al-Nafees Medical College & Hospital is affiliated with Al Nafees Medical College for Clinical Studies.
As Per Pakistan Medical Commission and Govt. of Punjab Seats Distribution, Al Nafees Medical College is allowed to admit 100 MBBS seats. The college offers other Medical Courses like Doctor of Physical Therapy, Language and Speech Therapy etc.

Hazrat Bari Imam Sarkar – HBS is affiliated with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad. HBS was recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council in 2015 and has been allocated 100 MBBS Seats. It is located in Islamabad.

Islamabad Medical and Dental College is affiliated with Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad. IMDC is recognized by Pakistan Medical Commission and allowed to admit 100 MBBS Seats every year. IMDC was established in 2007. IMDC is attached with Dr Akbar Khan Niazi Hospital for clinical purpose.
